PCC是氯铬酸吡啶鎓盐化学试剂，是吡啶和CrO3在盐酸溶液中的络合盐，为橙红色的晶体。
氯铬酸吡啶鎓盐常在有机合成中用做醇氧化成醛或酮的氧化剂，反应一般在二氯甲烷中进行，条件温和，产物比较单一，不容易发生过氧化。
化学性质PCC与其它常用的含铬氧化剂如jons试剂、Colljn试剂等比较，它具有氧化能力较强，选择性好，氧化过程中底物分子的烯键不受影响等特点，而且操作简便。另外，由子PCC的酸性较弱，因此那些对酸不稳定的基团在氧Chemicalbook化时仍可得以保存。
应用氯铬酸吡啶盐，常用缩写NBS，是一种温和的氧化剂，橙**晶体。用来把醇有限度地氧化为醛，使用PCC的缺点为反应时间太过冗长和PCC具有毒性。该试剂本身呈弱酸性，所以常跟缓冲剂比如乙酸钠配合使用。
